BANKNETVN RECEIVES THE AWARD OF “ENTERPRISES WITH INTEGRATION AND DEVELOPMENT”

On 20 March 2008, the Vietnam National Financial Switching Joint Stock Company (Banknetvn) had the honor of receiving the award “Enterprises with integration and development” held for the first time in 2008. This is the annual large-scale award in order to honor the enterprises that have striven for enhancement of economic effectiveness and competitiveness in the process of international economic integration. The award steering Council includes the Department of Central Propaganda and Training, the electronic newspaper of the Vietnam Communist Party, the Association of small and medium sized enterprises, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Culture – Sports – Tourism, the Vietnam Television, the National Committee for international economic cooperation. This noble award is a meritorious to Banknetvn and a substantial encouragement for Banknetvn to fulfill the long term objectives, making contribution to the development and international integration of Vietnam.

Banknetvn Switching System was officially launched in April 2007 and is currently in continuous and stable operation, serving the banks and great number of cardholders. During last year, Banknetvn had been successfully implementing the connection of ATM/POS of several banks and is continuing to implement the connection to commercial banks and payment service providers. Banknetvn’s operation is actively contributing to the implementation of the Government’s non-cash payment project, firstly to the effectuation of salary payment through bank accounts. Since the establishment, Banknetvn has always paid attention to the international integration and cooperation. At present, Banknetvn is promoting the implementation of comprehensive cooperation programs and connection to international financial switching organizations such as China UnionPay (China), NETS (Singapore), etc. Besides, Banknetvn also has cooperative relationship with many firms and organizations in the field of card switching services and technology. In the coming time, Banknetvn will continue strengthening the cooperative relationship with other partners and international financial organizations.
